The challenge
Service providers were losing bookings to phone tag and manual scheduling. Clients wanted to book instantly, and the business needed control over availability without constant calendar management.
What we built
An online booking system where clients pick a service, choose an available time slot, and receive instant confirmation. The business sets availability rules once, and the system handles the rest.
Key capabilities
- Self-service booking — clients book directly without back-and-forth
- Availability rules with buffer times, blackout dates, and per-service durations
- Calendar sync with Google Calendar and Outlook via CalDAV
- Automated confirmations and reminders via email
Technical approach
SvelteKit handles the booking interface and admin panel. Node.js API layer manages scheduling logic, conflict detection, and calendar integrations. PostgreSQL stores bookings, availability rules, and service configurations.
